Police warn residents to be on alert for scammer in Cowra

POLICE in the Chifley Police District are reminding people to be aware of scams, after a man in Cowra was knocking on doors telling residents he worked for council and was collecting outstanding parking fines and noise pollution. Police warned people not to hand over any money, and report suspicious activity to the police. Police also warned residents in neighbouring cities to be vigilant in case the man moves onto a new area.
