Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre is gearing up for one of its biggest weeks in recent memory with not one, not two, but three big-name acts booked to play next week.
It all starts next Wednesday, June 27 when former Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian takes to the stage on his Then & Now regional tour.
Recent releases from his current album, Conscious, will be performed alongside songs which have shaped his career for the past 15 years and made him one of Australia’s most enduring artists, with more than three million sales to date.
A day later, another of Australia’s best-loved performers will be at BMEC for what is already a sold-out show.
Anh Do is bringing The Happiest Refugee – Live show to town, combining stand-up comedy with real life stories, photos and filmed pieces to retell his amazing story.
And then on Friday, June 29 it will be a very different audience on hand when Peppa Pig’s Surprise takes centre stage.
Peppa is a rolled-gold superstar among the preschool set and it’s sure to be a packed hall for the 2pm show.
Give BMEC a call on 6333 6161 for more information or go to www.bmec.com.au.
They’re on song for top night out
AFTER three great nights so far, Mitchell Conservatorium is hoping for an even bigger crowd when PUBlic choir returns to The George Hotel tonight (Tuesday).
There are no sign-up fees and no pressure, just an opportunity to sing along to a classic hit and meet some new people.
The song of the month is revealed just 24 hours before each meeting, meaning it came too late for our publishing deadline, but it’s sure to be brilliant.
The hits so far have included Hey Jude, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For and Throw Your Arms Around Me, and Parade can’t wait to see what the choice will be this time.
It’s all on again from 7pm.
