Outlaws held the lead at the quarter-time break but were swiftly reeled back in by the Giants who would go on to post a 13-11-89 to 7-8-50 win at George Park 2.
The 50-point finish is the lowest full-time tally for the Outlaws since they were formed during the club’s 2016 split into two teams.
Outlaws co-coach Ben Horn said there were great signs for his side throughout the game but they couldn’t quite make it all click.
“It was a tough and frustrating match. I feel like we were winning a lot of footy around the ground but we couldn’t piece it together,” he said.
“Our deliveries weren’t very good and we weren’t giving our forwards the best opportunities. You can’t do that against Giants who are a quick, young side.
“We know what we need to focus on at training and we’ve got to work hard to improve.”
The game was a battle for third spot on the ladder, but now Outlaws have to be wary of a Dubbo Demons team just one win behind them.

“We’ll keep working hard to get ourselves up there,” Horn said.
“We know that we’ve got the players to do it.”
