We haven’t heard of any businesses who will be hosting pets at work, but if you’re planning to do it, please let us know, we’d love to hear from you.
Petbarn posted on line some tips to follow if you plan on hosting a take your pet to work day, firstly get the go ahead from your boss, and check with colleagues to confirm there aren't any allergy sufferers.
They also put out a checklist for everything you’ll need including pet friendly disinfectant, lead and collar, blanket, toys and water bowl, beds treat and a clean up bag.
Sounds like there are some fun times ahead!
Its still dark outside
Parade couldn’t believe how dark it was outside on Tuesday morning, it was 6.30am and there was no sign of the sun at all, so it cam as little surprise to learn that we’re almost at the shortest day of the year.
A quick check on line said the winter solstice is rapidly approaching and usually occurs on June 22, but can occur anytime between June 21 and 23. The winter solstice is the day of the year which has the least daylight hours, so it’s not surprising to see how dark it’s been in the morning.
For those of you who are interested, the summer solstice occurs once a year in December when the Sun's track across the Australian sky reaches its highest point. It is the day that has the most daylight hours of any in the year. The summer solstice usually occurs on 22 December, but can occur between 21 and 23 December.
Bring on Bathurst’s lights
A FRIEND of Parade had a girls weekend in Sydney recently and the group had he chance to visit Vivid in Sydney, when they light up the city. The group was pretty impressed, but even more so when the Bathurst based woman told them about the city’ Winter Festival, our light show, ice skating rink and other attractions.
They were so impressed they’ve all agreed to come here for the winter festival to see for themselves, Parade is sure they will be impressed.
