Four games were held at Proctor Park – two on field one and two each – on Friday night, with a strong crowd showing up to cheer on their respected teams.
Panorama Red hosted Lithgow Workies on field one at 6pm, before Panorama Black played Abercrombie Blue, in men’s premier league action.
Elsewhere on field two, Collegians and Macquarie United went head-to-head at 6pm before Panorama played Abercrombie at 8pm in women’s premier league action.
Macquarie United’s Aimee Parker had the honour of scoring the first goal on the new fields, as her team – coached by Bathurst District Football president Andrew Speed – went on to claim a 6-1 win.
Afterwards, there was no stopping a rampant Panorama women’s team on the way to 9-0 win over struggling Abercrombie.
Panorama striker Madi Gallegos was on fire for her team, bagging an incredible six goals in the big win.
However, the big talking point on the night was playing on the brand new fields.
“The fields were immaculate,” Gallegos said.
“The way they’ve been set up is really, really good.
“The nets are probably my favourite part of them, how they’ve set them up.”
She said Panorama’s structure was key to the big win over Abercrombie.
“The girls are just gelling really, really well together,” she said.
“Our passing was immaculate and everything was just really, really good.”
Gallegos praised the work of everyone who was involved with the new fields.
“High fives all round to everyone who helped. It’s an incredible effort. They’re probably one of the best fields I’ve every played,” she said.
Panorama also found success in the men’s with their Red side claiming a solid 5-1 win over visitors Lithgow Workies.
However, Panorama’s Black side lost 2-1 to Abercrombie Blue.
