The retired woman’s ticket won the guaranteed $100,000 first prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10235 on Monday.
The woman plans to surprise her family with her windfall.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning ticket of one random number at Newspower Bathurst, in Bathurst Stockland.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official on Thursday to confirm her win, the winner recounted the moment she discovered she held the winning ticket.
“I was in shock. We’ve been playing for years and have won little things but nothing like this,” she said.
“We took our ticket in to check it as we do every week and the man told us we had won.
“He must have thought I was going to faint as he went and got a chair for me.
“I was rocked off my feet.
“We’re still in shock actually!”
When asked how she planned to spend her Lucky Lotteries windfall, the Bathurst resident said she couldn’t wait to surprise her family with the news.
“We’ve got a few plans for the money and we won’t waste a cent of it,” she said.
“We’ve got quite a big family and we haven’t told them yet. It will probably be as big a surprise for them as it was for us.”
Newspower Bathurst owner Mark McManus said the win added to the outlet’s track record of selling first prize winning Lucky Lotteries tickets.
“I think this is our seventh first prize in the Super Jackpot,” he said.
“The winner was very excited and had the shakes. It’s always great to see one of our customers win.”
