There were 90 people at the church for the second winter high tea on Saturday, who were able to dine on a selection of food, including finger sandwiches, cakes and slices.
The food was made by members of the Holy Trinity Church.
Guests also enjoyed hot brewed coffee and could chose between many varieties of tea.
Joy Press said everyone seemed to have a wonderful time in the church’s parish and community centre.
“It was a friendly, lovely, happy afternoon for all,” she said.
The high tea, Ms Press said, was designed to give people something to do during the winter months, ideally complementing the Bathurst Winter Festival, not competing with it.
Fellowship is one of the key outcomes, building friendly connections between community members.
“The church bringing Bathurst people together from all different groups in the community,” Ms Press said.
As the church’s high tea has managed to attract so many people in the two years it has been held, Ms Press said the church will do its best to have one each July.
“It works for us to have it at this time of year,” she said.
