Council has previously supported the event to the tune of $1000 a year but will increase its support to $1500 this year to mark the significant milestone.
Wine show marketing and promotions director Michelle Kerr wrote to council in April seeking its support.
“The NCCWS highlights the cultural side of our race town, which brings the community together over a few glasses of the best cool climate wines in Australia,” Ms Kerr wrote.
“… Our event is only made possible with the ongoing assistance of our sponsors and event shapers.
“This year our aim is to give our sponsors more flow-on benefits for their customers.”
Councillors agreed to fund the $1500 sponsorship through Section 356 donations at Wednesday night’s monthly meeting.
The National Cool Climate Wine Show returns to Bathurst from October 16-19, with the public tasting on Friday, October 19.
Now, in its 20th year the show was started by the Bathurst Regional Vignerons Association to benefit, promote and provide world class feedback for Australia’s cool climate wine growers.
