Since managing just one win in its maiden season in 2016, the Giants have built into a much more formidable unit under coach Mark Kennedy.
One of the teenagers who has had an impact, Aden Macauley, said that having others of a similar age to him in the squad helped made the transition easier from juniors to seniors.
He is also enjoying playing alongside the likes of Nathan Belbin, Paul Jenkins, Frank Bright and Dave Manning – proven senior performers.
“It makes it a bit easier for me that I get to play with my mates,” he said.
“Having those experienced guys really helps too. We have like 10 of the past 15 best and fairests, really experienced players who have killed the game … so learning off them is just the best thing. They are good to have around.”
