Miss Traill’s House and Garden Management Committee secretary Susan Morris said more than 60 people attended the evening, which had the twin aims of promoting the Russell Street house and raising funds to help maintain it.
“Marty Ryan entertained us with Christmas carols at the beginning of the night and the maintenance team of Tim Cox and his helpers put on a bit of a skit,” Ms Morris said.
Christmas in July is one of a number of functions – which includes the Night Before Christmas event – held by Miss Traill’s House and Garden through the year.
Ms Morris said Miss Traill's House and Garden has a special place on the Bathurst landscape as the city’s only National Trust property.
