According to Weatherzone, which has used data from the Bathurst Agricultural Research Station, the city had just 4.8 millimetres of rain across the entire month.
This figure was just 10 per cent of the long-term average rainfall for Bathurst, which is 48.9mm.
The worst July on record was 1970, where there was 3.7mm, while the second worst figure was 4.4mm, recorded in 1953.
July’s figures add to what has already been an extremely dry year in Bathurst.

To date, the city has received 215.7mm of rain, just over half of the long-term average figure to August.
In some good news, a break from dry conditions should come on Friday, with a 90 per cent chance of up to 10mm forecast.
