To be held at Carrington Park, the leading players from the 2018 New Era league tag premiership have been split into Western and Eastern teams and will battle for the right to be crowned champions.
Two members of the premiership winning CSU Yellow outfit – Abby Schofield and Grace Bickmore-Hutt – will join CSU Blue club-mates Jasmine Lagudi and Miranda Rodgers in the Western All Stars outfit.
Fellow Mungals Emily Warner, Carly Elwin and Kate Schofield were all selected as well, but have been ruled out due to injury.
The rest of the Western outfit consists of players from Portland and the Orange Barbarians, while the Eastern side draws on talent from Kandos, Lithgow and Blackheath.
Schofield, who was part of the CSU Yellow outfit which beat CSU Blue 14-0 in last week’s grand final, is looking for one more win to cap off a big season.
“Hopefully it would be us,” she replied when asked which team holds favouritism.
“We’ve only had one training session actually, so the girls are a bit nervous about that, but the girls were really good and we’ve got a good side.
“There’s a lot of speed there from the Orange girls and Portland girls, so we’re excited to see that in action.
“It’s definitely something we are excited about.”

No matter which team emerges victorious on Saturday, Schofield feels that it will be a positive for the New Era league tag competition as a whole.
She feels fixture will help to promote the sport, which has enjoyed not only good growth and skill development at CSU, but across the competition.
Though Wallerawang and Villages United, who were part of the maiden New Era league tag premiership in 2015 did not play this season, CSU now has two teams.
“It’s going tremendously [at CSU], getting the girls back each year and having more good coaches there, the girls have really been able to work on their skills and take it through to the next couple of years,” she said.
“The comp as a whole, over the last year it’s definitely grown with Blackheath and Lithgow sticking around and two CSU sides as well.
“It’s definitely shot off the last couple of years with the amount of girls getting around it and the boys have been really good and encouraging.
“Get league tag out there as much as we can, it’s amazing to see.”
Kick-off at Carrington Park is 2.30pm Saturday.
