The Sportswriter x Rooftop Fairy gelding won three of his six starts over the course of the carnival, including the Listed $25,450 Chris Garrard’s Patrons Purse at Redcliffe and Listed $25,540 Lucky Creed Open at Albion Park.
His other victory at Albion Park came in a career best 1:52.6 mile rate, getting home in 27.9 seconds after doing plenty of work three wide for driver Anthony Frisby.
Those runs were part of an impressive winter campaign for the Frisbys. In fact, each of the six runners who will join Our Uncle Sam in action at Albion Park this Saturday night – Our Chittybangbang, Our Wall Street Wolf, Holy Camp Clive, Alpha Styx, Arcachon and Major Occasion – have all posted wins as well.

“It’s easily been our best season, our previous best was 32, which came last season, and when we passed that mark, Dad said let’s get to 40 and now we’re over 50 so it’s very satisfying and rewarding.” Anthony Frisby told Racing Queensland.
“We’re more than pleased with the way our team has performed up here and most have been multiple winners. We planned for some time prior to the trip making sure we had the right horses and we’ve worked the handicapping system to our advantage.”
This Saturday Mat Rue will be in the gig as Our Uncle Sam contests the Remembering ‘Viking Reign’ Open Pace over 2138 metres – a distance he has won over three times.
