The children at the early childhood centre dressed up as farmers and farm animals.
Katrina Ross, from Goodstart Kelso said the centre participated in the Buy a Cow Feed a Farmer program.
“The children dressed up as farmers and farm animals and we celebrated with a sausage sizzle for lunch.
“The children were able to buy a $2, $5, or $10 cow which goes towards food hampers for our local farmers.
“The children wrote their names on the cows which will be put up on the wall at the Bathurst City Community Club in Bathurst,” she said.
Anyone in the community who wants to support the Buy a Cow Feed a Farmer program can do so by making a donation at the BCCC, in William Street Bathurst.
Money raised goes towards creating and delivering home cooked meals to farmers and their families.
