Secretary Shirley Walsh said the annual show had received 440 works for entry into the show.
“It’s down slightly on last year, but from the comments we’ve had, the quality is up,” she said.
The works were judged by a group of people, who chose the category winners and had quite a hard time of it with so much talent on offer.
“We had four people judging the artwork, so it took a long time to decide, and we had to add an extra encouragement award for one [section],” Ms Walsh said.
The best in show award went to Tracy Wilkinson for her work ‘Fuschia’.
As of early Sunday morning, 25 artworks entered into the show had been purchased.
Part of the event this year was guest artist Tanya Loviz, who created a painting from scratch across the weekend.
She has been painting since she was a young girl and has been building her career as an artist for around a decade.
Regular travelers of the Great Western Highway may know her Warrimoo gallery.
Ms Loviz said the challenge of the weekend at the art show was painting outside of her studio, without every tool at her disposal.
