However, due to Bathurst’s low elevation, the city is set to miss out on snow once again.
The bureau’s MetEye website is showing possible snow showers across a wide area of the Central West on Tuesday morning.
The falls are predicted to start around Orange about 1am and increase to the west, south and east of throughout the morning.
By 7am there is expected to be reasonable falls on high country above 1000 metres.
Meanwhile, a sheep grazier’s warning for the start of the week has been issued for many parts of the state, including the Central West, meaning adult shorn sheep and new born lambs in inclement weather are at greater risk.
The mercury in Bathurst is predicted to only hit a high of nine degrees on Tuesday and is meant to hit a low of zero.
Oberon will also hit a low of zero but will be slightly colder than Bathurst, reaching just a high of six degrees.
If predictions are to be believed, snow will fall in and around Orange, Blayney, Oberon, Jenolan Caves and Lithgow.
