The organisation, which provides employment to a number of people with disabilities, lost its commercial laundry and administration facilities in a devastating fire in May. 

Prior to the blaze, Ivory Rose Botanicals owner Maddie Vietch was organising a ball to benefit people with disabilities. She later decided to direct the funds to Glenray to help it ‘rise’ again. 

Ms Vietch has always had a passion for supporting people with disabilities, that passion driven by members of her family living with disabilities. 

The ball, held at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC), featured dinner and a range of talented entertainers. 

Cirkus Surreal had street performers outside of the venue and were also inside the venue on their aerial rigs.

Also part of the entertainment were bands Cheviot Drive, Penopuss and the Four Blokes, as well as Promenade Dance Studio. 

The food on the night was provided by Margot Burke Catering.

“It was a really good night. We had about 125 people come along,” Ms Vietch said. 

At this stage, the estimated amount raised for Glenray is $5000. 

Ms Vietch said a final total will be determined in the coming days.
