The Bathurst star was part of the four-member Australian team which competed in the 2018 edition of the Accenture British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup in London on the weekend, joining Natalie Van Coevorden, Marcel Walkington and Matthew Roberts.
The Australians placed third in a format which saw each team member tackling a swim, cycle and run leg. They clocked an overall time of one hour, nine minutes, 21 seconds to finish behind victors Leeds 1 (1:08.29) and Loughborough 1 (1:09.20).
“The team did really. We always knew Leeds 1 and Loughborough 1 were going to be tough teams to beat, but we kept ourselves in the race to the end,” Moana-Veale said.
“My first time doing the mixed relay, but definitely a great concept.”

Moana-Veale was the third member of the Australian team out on the course, Walkington handing over to her in second.
She clocked the second fastest swim split – 3:53 – of the number threes on course to enter transition in position two.
Pushing hard she clocked a 9:02 for the bike leg and 4:50 for the run, handing over to Roberts in third position. Jodie Stimpson (Loughborough) and Georgia Taylor-Brown (Leeds) were the only two ahead of her.
“[I’m] Lucky to have such a strong team surrounding me,” she said.
“A little disappointed with my leg but gave it everything ... Who knew such a short race could hurt so much?”
