Wednesday was International Cat Day and Bathurst’s cat lovers responded to a Western Advocate call-out for photos in their dozens.
And what a mix of moggies we got.
There were long hair, short hair and even no hair cats among them, but every one of them was loved.
There were energetic young kittens and elegant old ladies, along with a selection of cats of every colour.
International Cat Day is held on August 8 each year as a 24-hour long recognition of the special cat – or cats – in our lives.
And don’t worry, dog lovers – it’s only 16 sleeps until Australia celebrates National Dog Day on August 26.
