Bulldogs dropped just a single match all regular season and are currently on a formidable 11-game winning streak going into their match against the Dubbo Kangaroos this Saturday at Endeavour Oval.
That solitary loss did come against the ’Roos back in the opening round but the Bulldogs went on to beat them twice on the run towards the minor premiership.
Bulldogs co-coach Richard Smith is certain the fourth meeting between the teams this year will be a cracker.
“We had a good win against them in the second round at home but then had to fight for it in the final game at Dubbo,” he said.
“At half-time it was 14-5 so it was a good contest. We worked hard to get the final score out to 35-5 and I don’t think that scoreline accurately reflects the game at all. Dubbo were better than that, we just had outstanding defence on the day.”

Bulldogs’ depth across the top two grades has been a badge of honour for the club this year.
The Bulldogs second grade team boasts many players who have either played a large share of top grade minutes this season or have only recently come down from the first flight.
Kurt Weekes and Scott Johnston make for a strong halves combination and majority of the forward pack have proved pivotal in filling first grade positions across 2018.
“Having Dean [Oxley] as our head coach, who obviously picks first grade, has been great,” Smith said.
“We’ve helped to build a squad for Dean as well. That helps us because they play for us then sit on his bench. Between the two teams you could throw a hat over the guys who have played for both grades.
“We’re blessed having the guys we’ve got.”
Bulldogs went down to Orange Emus in last year’s grand final.
Match starts 1.40pm.
