LITTLE has separate Bathurst Bulldogs and Orange Emus throughout the Blowes Clothing Cup colts season so it only feels appropriate that the two clubs should meet for this Sunday’s minor semi-finals.

The colts competition has been dominated in recent years by the Bulldogs but a combination of player changes and injuries have left the club battling to find wins this season.
They meet an Emus team who boast an identical list of results – three wins, five losses and a draw – but go in knowing that they got the better of the greens in their last meeting.
“We’ve been among the top two favourites for the last couple of years but we’re in a different position this year. Dubbo are probably up there as favourites but any of the four teams can win it on their day,” Bulldogs co-coach Jordan Bull said.
“There’s only four teams in the competition this year, which is a shame, and it’s definitely a different feel from the last few years.”
Emus won the first two clashes of the season against the Bulldogs, 15-12 and 22-10, before the blue and gold hit back 21-12 in July at Endeavour Oval.

“They’re a tough, physical side so the boys have to be on their game this Sunday,” Bull said.
“It’s probably going to be one of those games that comes down to the last few minutes.”
Bulldogs and Emus play from 12.20pm at Cowra.
