WITH their men’s Premier League Hockey minor semi-final place all but assured the focus for St Pat’s over their remaining two weeks will be on staying to structure and playing patient hockey.
It’s a mantra coach Niel Howard has stuck close to since coming on board as coach and he’ll hope to see it in action again when they play host to Orange Wanderers at Bob Roach Field this Saturday.
Even though it would take a disaster of huge proportions to see Pat’s miss finals it’s not to say the Saints don’t care about the result this weekend – far from it.
There’s still the chance to earn hosting rights for their finals game if results can go their way, and the team will be playing hard to make that a reality.
Pat’s are looking for more consistency than what they showed in the 3-all draw with Wanderers last time around.
The Bathurst side also keen to put an end to a four game winless run that stretches back to their 4-3 win over Panthers in June.
