Organised by both CSU Football Club and Headspace, the cup will be contested on Sunday when CSU’s clubs play Bathurst District Football clubs at Police Paddock and Proctor Park. 

The winner receives three points and one point for a draw and the side with the most points claims the cup.

CSU president Callum Cauduro said it’s fantastic to see so many clubs to get involved with donations.

“Raising money for Headspace is important because at university there’s so many young people who do need help from time to time,” he said.

CSU volunteers will be manning the gates, canteen and fields, collecting donations for Headspace.

One of the most significant contributions to Headspace Cup has been Panorama Football Club, who have pledged $1,300 as of Thursday afternoon.

And while the fundraising is one big side of the cup, there’s also the competition.

After CSU and BDF claimed the trophy in 2016 and 2017 respectively, Cauduro doesn’t want to see BDF claim another title.

“Definitely, we’re keen to claim the title back,” he said.

Headspace Cup raised $5000 in 2017.
