Hear all about it
THE Talking Newspaper program is broadcast weekdays from noon with readings from the Western Advocate and Central Western Daily.
The program started more than 20 years ago and at the time pioneered the development of print handicapped radio services in Australia.
Our team of Talking Newspaper presenters read articles from the newspapers to keep you up to date with local news.
Dak’s back
MANY locals travel overseas during the Bathurst winter and several 2MCE presenters have been away during the May-August colder months.
We’re fortunate to have a handful of presenters who can fill-in on a range of programs and we’ve been thrilled to hear Daryl (Dak) Williams back on the radio over the past few weeks.
Dak has been involved with 2MCE for more than 20 years. He presented The Roaring Silence and was a member of the Jukebox team during the 1990s.
Dak has retired from regular radio nowadays but does pop in for a fill-in when he can. Dak’s been presenting Morning Music and filling in for Ronnie Mac on Sundays for the past few weeks.
Spread the word
BATHURST residents are fortunate to have such a great range of service and social clubs available to join and there is generally a group or club to cover most areas of interest.
You might already be a member of a service club, garden club, running group, theatre company, sports club, charitable organisation or other social group.
We invite any special interest groups in the area to contact us to discuss presenting a radio program focused on your group’s activities. We offer training to get you on-air and then you can regularly highlight your group’s specific interest.
