Despite being held up in the Ladbrokes Daily Video Stakes (307 metres) Grizzly Adams ($5) was able to sneak his way to the lead along the rail and get himself a fourth career win.
Prior to his hock injury Grizzly Adams had produced a scorching 17.43 second victory over the same distance – just a slither outside of the Bathurst track record.
Time will tell whether he’ll be able to recapture that eye-catching form but winning trainer Mark Wicks was pleased with the way his runner returned to racing.

“He was a handy dog when we first got him but he cracked his hock since then,” he said.
“It was good to see him get the win but we’re just not sure how he’s going to progress from here.
“It’s great for him to have to do it a bit tough but still get the win.”
Inside starter Bonnie O’Reilly ($2.60) threatened to run away with the race early thanks to her dominant start but the rest of the field weren’t going to let her get away easily.
Klemmer and Grizzly Adams came across to Bonnie O’Reilly before the former drifted back through the field on the turn.
Race favourite Cliff Keeping ($2.10) blew by Grizzly Adams and Bonnie O’Reilly to briefly hold the lead but drifted wide.
Grizzly Adams had been held up initially by Cliff Keeping’s run but recovered to win in 18.14 seconds.
