The annual event, which marks its 73rd year in 2018, gives school-aged children the opportunity to perform in a variety of different disciplines.

The 2018 eisteddfod started on Saturday, August 25 at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC).
Over 4500 individual performances have been locked in over the event’s 20 days.
Dance is the first discipline and will run from August 25 to September 7.
Dance groups will perform on September 1 and 2.
Speech performances will run from August 26 to September 5 and music will run from September 6 to 14.
