Local knitters from Wrap With Love will have rugs on display from 10am to 2pm on Friday, August 31 at the Bathurst City Community Club. See the rugs and learn about this great charity that helps people all over the world. The knitters are happy to accept knitted squares and any unwanted wool (even part balls). There will be light refreshments around midday. Call Marcia, 6337 1117.
Knit One, Chat One will be at the Bathurst Library from 10am-1pm.
Saturday, September 1
Macquarie Riverside Markets will be held at Lions Berry Park from 8am.
Bathurst Arts Trail, which offers free entry to artists’ studios on the first full weekend of each month, will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. Check www.bathurstartstrail.com or the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre for more details and to find out which studios are open.
Evans Arts Council lino printing workshop will be held from 10am at 5-7 Lee Street, Kelso. Tickets from wwww.dropbox.com.
An open day at Eglinton Station will be an opportunity to meet some of the firefighters, have a look at the equipment and ask any questions. There will also be plenty of information, demonstrations, kids’ activities and a free barbecue, so come on down to 1 Freemantle Road from 10am-2pm.
Sunday, September 2
The National Motor Racing Museum will celebrate Father's Day. Dads will get in for free and will have the chance to get inside a classic car. The day will also mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the museum by the Bathurst Light Car Club in 1988. Visit www.nmrm.com.au.
