With just a few weeks to go, the 2018 Edgell Jog starting line is now just around the corner.
Leading into the final few weeks of the 7POINT5 Program, we again turn up the intensity and add more distance to the current program, making our new distance six kilometres in total.

It sounds like a lot, but here are just a few tips on how to continue to make your program that extra bit more exciting.
At times during any program or training schedule, you may find yourself in a rut. That’s okay.
We all get like that at times and the best way to handle a situation like this is a good change up.
Over the past couple of weeks, I have talked about group fitness and how that can change up and benefit your training style.
Like group fitness, you too can make your training sessions a social session. They don’t always have to be solo, so grab a friend - or, if you’re like me, bring your four-legged best friend along too.
As the weather begins to warm up, start to tag up your sessions with a friend, partner or pet.
This will create a whole new dynamic to your training schedule, whether you make it a relaxed social jog around the river soaking up the sun or a competitive race between you and your partner just to see who gets the best time.
Regardless of which way you change it up, this will give you a new way to enjoy your preparation for the Edgell Jog.
Try to avoid large groups, as we are still trying to get the best time possible with our program, but remember to keep having fun.
If you involve your four-legged friend, they’ll love you for that extra walk and sometimes they’re all the social requirements you need after a long day.
If at any time during this program you have any questions, need advice, want to know more about our group fitness classes or want to arrange a time to meet up for a chat, email me at info@cityfitbathurst.com.au or leave a comment on our Facebook page.
