Parramatta Eels rugby league legend Nathan Hindmarsh drew a crowd for the lunch last year and this year, Olympian Jana Pittman will be inspiring the crowd.
Pittman, who represented Australia at three Olympic Games and was the first Australian woman to compete in both a summer and winter Olympics, is a two-time world champion and four-time Commonwealth Games champion in the 400 metres hurdles.
Now off the track, she is completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and hopes to practise in obstetrics and gynaecology.

“Jana has a similar story to Glenray – overcoming tragedy, continuing and battling, plus fighting for what you want and overcoming life’s hurdles that are thrown at you,” Glenray’s Meg McKenna said.
The funds raised at this year’s luncheon will be used to create a better work environment for Glenray’s supported employees with disability in the new laundry being built to replace the facility lost in a fire in early May.
“All funds will go towards a better equipped kitchen and their first outdoor eating area,” Ms McKenna said.
Glenray is looking for table, event and speaker sponsors to help with the success of the luncheon.
“Be part of the day and bring friends, clients and the work family to join in the festivities,” Ms McKenna said.
The lunch will be held on Tuesday, November 6 at Rydges Bathurst from 11.30am-4pm.
Tickets cost $125 per person, which will include a three-course luncheon, four-hour beverage package, best dress and lucky door prizes, sweeps and live coverage of the Melbourne Cup and musical entertainment.
