Students were encouraged to wear their favourite flannelette shirt, for a gold coin donation, and student organisers were delighted when just about every student, and teacher at the school got in on the fun.
Louise Farmer, from Kelso High School said it was amazing to see everyone involved.
“Everyone was wearing flannelette even the staff.
Mrs Farmer said the $1400 raised on the day will be donated to Buy a Bale, assisting drought stricken farmers across the state to feed their stock.

Mrs Farmer said one of the reasons the day was so successful was because everyone was involved.
“We have a lot of kids off the land here at school, so everyone wanted to be part of it” she said.
Isaac Connor, 17, who is part of the school’s SRC said the students had all seen the effects of the drought so the SRC thought the Buy a Bale campaign was a charity worth supporting.
He said the SRC were delighted with the outcome.
“Heaps of kids supported the day; we made over $500 from the mufty day alone,” he said.
Isaac said it was great to be able to help out the community.
