The event is looking to bring 1000 cars to Mount Panorama – down from the original plan for 2000 cars – to set a track record for the most number of cars moving on the iconic race circuit.
Registration is $50 per car and all funds raised will be donated to Buy a Bale.
Mayor Graeme Hanger said the initiative would help support farmers and their families who have been affected by the drought.
“I urge those who want to get involved in this wonderful event to be quick,” Cr Hanger said.
“There is a strict limit of 1000 places available so register online today.”
To help manage the 1000 cars, participants can select a time between 6am and 9.30am to arrive at Mount Panorama.
To register, go to www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au. Registrations will not be taken on the day of the event.
Donations to Buy a Bale can also be made via the council website.
Spectators will have access to Harris Park.
