CHAIN pizza store Little Caesars has lodged plans with Bathurst Regional Council to fit out a new Bathurst store.

The plans show the new store will take over two vacant premises between Thai Buddha and the QuickStop convenience store in the United fuel station complex at the bottom end of William Street.
The $140,000 fitout includes a lobby, two preparation areas and industrial oven, along with a dining room that will seat about 20 people.
Little Caesars currently has nine outlets open across NSW. Most of the stores are in Sydney but an Orange outlet opened in July.
The company was founded by Michael and Marian Ilitch in Garden City, Michigan in 1959 and is today one of the world’s top international pizza chains, operating restaurants on five continents.
Little Caesars claims credit for a number of industry firsts, including the first “two-for-one” pizza deal that later became known as Pizza!Pizza! and the first conveyor oven to bake pizzas quickly and consistently to keep up with customer demand.
The first Australian store opened in Casula in south-west Sydney in 2014.
The arrival of Little Caesars will add to an already crowded pizza market in Bathurst.
A second Domino’s outlet opened at the Westpoint Shopping Centre in May while the city is also home to rival chain stores Pizza Hut and Pizza Capers.
Locally-owned and run pizza restaurants include Lewy’s and Eat Inn on George Street, Vic’s on Stewart Street and the Church Bar and Wood-Fired Pizza.
Plans for the Bathurst outlet were lodged with council by a private certifier as a complying development and were approved last week.
