THE Sprung Festival is getting close.
The annual Charles Sturt University theatre festival, which will kick off next Wednesday, September 19, will this year feature shows exploring gender identity, grief … and Schapelle Corby.
The Ponton Theatre and Creative Hub on the CSU campus will be transformed into an exhibition of roving acts, theatre and live music from local artists over two weeks for Sprung.
The festival will feature five original works – ranging from comedy and physical theatre to a musical and serious drama - as well as an opening and closing ceremony and two events.
All the works are created by final year theatre/media students.
The 2018 festival, which has the theme “Imagine the possibilities”, was launched recently at Gunther’s Lane.
The festival is being presented by CSU Bathurst in collaboration with the School of Communication and Creative Industries and CYCLE Productions.
