Staged in Germany, the five-round event saw teams of four triathletes compete as individuals but have their efforts count towards their outfit’s ranking.
Moana Veale was consistently strong across the rounds at Kraichgau, Dusseldorf, Munster, Tubingen and Binz to finish the series placed fifth outright on 50 points. Germany’s Anja Knapp took the honours on 76.
Her individual results also helped Krefelder (87) rank third in the teams battle behind EJOT Team Buschhutten (97) and SG Triathlon Witten (94).
The final round of the series was held at Binz, with Moana-Veale notching up a seventh placing for the sprint distance race – a 750 metre swim, 20km cycle, and 5km.
Moana-Veale was 10th out of the water and climbed to eighth after a solid cycle leg.
In the run her split was the fifth fastest in the field – an 18.28 – which lifted her into seventh.
It helped her team rank third for the round.
“Our girls left nothing to burn at the Bundesliga final in Binz on the island of Rügen,” the team said on its Facebook page.
“They showed in impressive manner that this year they are rightly counted among the three top teams in Germany.”
