They are among the prizes on offer as part of an auction and raffle being run in conjunction with the Carillon Business Awards which will raise money to finish an upgrade for the city’s Kings Parade icon.
Members of the Bathurst War Memorial Carillon Group will promote the auction at the Carillon Business Awards finalists’ night tonight at the Bathurst RSL.
“We needed to raise funds for a clavier and a practice clavier but, in order to do this, we needed to upgrade the Eternal Flame and replace 12 of the bells which have gone out of tune,” the group’s convenor Monica Morse said.
“A grant from the NSW Government has brought this much closer, hopefully to be completed by June next year.
“However, we still need about $200,000 to ensure that this will happen and make the Carillon recognised worldwide as a true Carillon.”

The auction and raffle will be held at the business awards dinner in October.
As well as a one-hour Christmas party performance from the band Def Yeti or a month of massages from the Chiropractic Health and Wellness Centre, businesses can win prizes including a Toledo sword, an artwork by Dean Mobbs, tickets to the Bathurst 12 Hour race, a cosmetic hamper and a beauty treatment from the Macquarie Day Spa, legal advice from ClearPath Navigating Family Law, a voucher for the Guest House at Hill End, a four-wheel drive adventure from Detour Adventures and a month’s family membership at Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre.
