I had asked for an apple slice, my favourite treat for the month, but was duly informed by the serving staff member that they have been instructed by “state officials”, who had checked on what is being served in the hospital cafeteria, etc, that this product was deemed to be too large and they have been ordered to supply a much smaller version of such to replace it.
Who are these people? Is this not what they would possibly do in North Korea or Communist China?
If this government is attempting to show that it is concerned for the health of its people, perhaps it should first look at removing all the big American fa(s)t food giants for a start, and thus the money would also remain in Australia.
One could then rest assured that the waist lines of all Australians would dramatically reduce!
Or do these businesses have too much influence (donation money) and, thus, support the political parties?
One can only wonder if this is the thin edge of the wedge for a police state.
Or is it already in full swing?
