This year, there were 750 people in attendance, an increase of 150 people from the previous year.
Museum entry figures were similar to the previous year, with just under 500 people walking through the doors.
The event generated $5824 of income, up from $5500 in 2017.
“The day attracted locals and visitors from further afield including Orange, the Blue Mountains, Sydney and interstate,” director of Cultural and Community Services, Alan Cattermole, said in his report to council.
“Several patrons specifically remained in the Bathurst area to attend the day, and one family from Brisbane modified their travel plans to remain in the locality.”
The Father’s Day event included free entry for fathers on the day, a free sausage sizzle manned by the Bathurst Lines Club and rides around the Mount Panorama circuit in historic race cars.
