As the warmer months near, the swim club is inviting everyone to get involved.
Given that, the family evening will include both competitive and non-competitive races, a giant inflatable slide and many other novelty events.
The swim club’s publicity officer, Sharyn Jenkins, welcomes all to come down and participate.
“We just want people to come down and join in and see if they enjoy swimming,” she said.
“People will also get a chance to meet all the swimmers at the club, and just get an idea as to what the club is all about.
“We are looking forward to more people becoming involved with the club as the weather warms up.”
A triumphant event on Friday night could ensure future success for the club, which has achieved so much already this season.
“The season so far has been excellent,” Jenkins exclaimed.
“We have had several kids compete in both state and national level competitions.”
With many big meets approaching fast, the club is hoping for more good performances from its swimmers in the upcoming months.
The event will be held at the Bathurst Aquatic Centre, and will begin at 6pm on Friday night with all-comers encouraged to join in on the fun.
