That is when the Panthers will face Group 11 premiers Forbes Magpies at Carrington Park in the inaugural NAB Western Premiers Challenge.
The Western Challenge sees the victors from Group 10 and Group 11 battle for regional bragging rights, Sunday’s under 18s clash also joined by under 16s, league tag and first grade matches.
Despite having setbacks heading into the clash, Panthers under 18s coach John Fearnley is excited about the opportunity for his side to test their skills against the Magpies.

“Bit of mixed emotions going into the game. We are excited about the challenge of facing the best team in the region,” he said.
“We also have quite a few injuries, so the timing isn’t the best.
“[But] This will give others an opportunity to step up in the game that may have not had the chance throughout the season.”
The Panthers claimed victory in the Group 10 under 18s competition earlier this month, defeating Orange CYMS 20-8 to book their spot in the Western Premiers Challenge.
The gusty victory came after three players were sent to the sin bin for separate offences, forcing the team to play a portion of the game short against a talented rival.
“The grand final was an emotional roller coaster,” Fearnley said.
“It was a tough win. The boys really had to fight hard.”
After only losing one game throughout the entire Group 10 season, victory on Sunday would cap off a huge year for the Panthers.
However, to do that they must topple a Forbes side who won the Group 11 grand final 34-12 against Dubbo CYMS and has not lost so far in 2018.
It will not be easy, but Fearnley hopes a vocal crowd can inspire his players.
“We know Forbes are a very strong outfit, and we will have to play our best to be successful against them,” Fearnley explained.
“The Bathurst crowds have been excellent for us all year, and we hope to see another big turnout this Sunday to cheer on the boys.”
Sunday’s under 18s match at Carrington Park will kick off at 1pm.
