Band night
CELEBRATE live music, local and regional musicians and the Bathurst arts loving community at the next BMEC Monthly Band Night.
Drinks and simple food can be purchased from the bar and a dance floor is calling you. Doors open from 7pm on Friday with music to start at 8pm.
The Safety of Life at Sea is playing with support from all girl band Sweet Revenge.

Art on the Turon
THE Turon Art Group’s 14th biennial exhibition is on at the Memorial Hall in Sofala from this Friday, September 28 to Monday, October 1.
The show will be opened by mayor Graeme Hanger with David Lake as the guest artist. It is sponsored by CSU.
A light on love
LOVE, Life & Light is a beautiful exhibition at Chifley Home in Bathurst, inspired by the gardens of the Chifley women by artist Kim Bagot-Hiller.
Represented through 28 pieces of botanical artwork and a series of interpretive panels and exhibits about the domestic lives of the Chifley women.
This free exhibition, on until December 3, is supported by Bathurst Regional Council.
Blayney heritage
BLAYNEY Shire Council has launched the Local Heritage Assistance Fund for 2018-2019.
Grants are available for the conservation and maintenance of heritage buildings, adaptive reuse, interpretation projects and urban design projects that support heritage in the Blayney local government area.
Assistance of $300 to $1000 on a dollar-for-dollar basis may be available for eligible projects.
Applications will be received until Friday, September 28.
