Horses trained by Amanda Turnbull, Steve Turnbull, Nathan Hurst and Chris Frisby are among the 104 nominations for the series, which culminates in a $500,000 final in December.
In exciting news for the Bathurst contingent two of those contenders – Tact Tate (Amanda Turnbull) and Atomic Red (Steve Turnbull) – feature inside the top 15 of the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship rankings.
Atomic Red (ranked 13th) is still in the middle of his spell following his runner-up finish behind number two-ranked Let It Ride in the Group 1 Blacks A Fake Queensland Championship in July.
Tact Tate finished fifth in the same race but prior to that was superb on the way to a Group 2 Sunshine Sprint title.
Conviction, Ellmers Image and Joes Star of Mia also feature in the nominations for the event.
Frisby and Hurst have nominated Our Uncle Sam and Saloon Passage respectively.
Bathurst-owned mare Ameretto, trained by Kerryn Manning, sits ninth on the rankings.
The first round of heats takes place at Melton on December 1. The final will be on the 15th.
Western Australian super star Chicago Bull in the number one-ranked runner.
