In preparation for each school holiday period, the club puts together a varied program of activities to help kids beat the boredom that often comes with the break.
School holiday program coordinator Katrina Harrison said the club, which can cater to 70 kids daily, has been so busy that some families sadly had to be turned away.
“We’ve been booked out and we had to turn away a few this morning (Tuesday) because they didn’t get their bookings in, so you need to book early,” she said.
On Tuesday, children were separated into groups and rotated around between activities that included gymnastics, laser tag and crafts.
Other activities that have been offered over the school holidays include golf, parkour and obstacle courses.
Ms Harrison said that the activities children enjoy most vary depending on their interests.
But one thing is for sure, that parents and children enjoy everything offered to them at the PCYC.
“It’s good when you do get chatting to a parent and they do say positive things,” Ms Harrison said.
“We do get a lot of positive feedback from parents, and kids too, which is good because you want the kids to be having a good time and the parents to want to bring them here.”
There are still some vacancies for the remainder of the school holidays. Parents can make a booking by calling 6331 2191.
