I wish him all the best in his quest and hope he has more success than a small group of us had in trying to have a statue of Charles Bean placed in Russell Street.
Both Charles Bean and Blair Wark deserve to be recognised as locals who served Australia well during World War One.

It is unfortunate when, in my opinion, the RSL sub branch and Bathurst Regional Council cannot recognise the contribution of our local men.
It has been no trouble for Orange to recognise their men who contributed with outstanding service.
It is now time for Bathurst to do the same.
I urge the residents of Bathurst to support this project and hope the RSL sub branch, Bathurst Regional Council and the appropriate government departments can contribute the funds needed.
