Jameel Qureshi – a man who has skippered the Western Wranglers in the short format – has joined the Saints as their marquee player.
Under the rules of the competition, each side competing can utilise a player who does not regularly play club cricket for them. The Saints certainly picked well in Rugby Union Cricket Club star Qureshi.

Last season Quershi made two guest appearances for Centrals in the Royal Hotel Cup, while in 2015-16 he starred for the same Orange club, belting two half-centuries and averaging 154 as he led them to the semi-finals.
The Saints have been placed in pool A of the competition, its draw featuring this Friday’s match against Centrals as well as clashes with Kinross, Orange City and Lithgow Lightning.
Pool B includes Bathurst’s two other hopefuls – Centennials Bulls and Bathurst City.
