Coming off the back of good club form for St George in the NSW Premier Cricket competition, Copeland not only claimed five wickets for the match, but pilled on the pressure with his economical seam bowling at Manuka Oval.
ACT/NSW won the match by an innings and 184 runs, sealing victory before lunch on the final day of play.
Copeland took 3-27 off 12.2 overs in the first innings to help bundle Queensland out for 119 on day one before ACT/NSW put on 6-575 declared in reply.
Nick Larkin belted an impressive 205 as ACT/NSW put itself in the box seat.
Copeland removed opener Lachlan Pfeffer for three early in Queensland’s second innings, then turned up the pressure with his good line and length. Of his 18 overs 12 were maidens and he finished with 2-19.
