Just as he had scored when it mattered for the Orange Emus in this year’s Blowes Clothing Cup grand final, Harris nabbed the opener of the plate final and crossed again early in the second half to help the Blobfish to victory.
They won the third versus fourth match six tries to nil.
While CSU only narrowly missed out on qualifying for the main final – going down to eventual champions Newcastle Wanderers 2-1 in their last round game costing them a spot – the Blobfish were too good in the plate.

The Blobfish scored their first two minutes into the six minutes each way contest following a CSU knock-on. Ben Wright found space down the right wing then produced a nice flick pass to Harris in support.
Wright crossed himself two minutes later after a nice Tom Nell cut-out pass gave him space, while a third Blobfish try just before the half-time hooter had them in control.
But it was Harris who really killed off CSU hopes one minute into the second stanza as he won a foot race to the ball to score after Nell put a kick in behind the students’ line.
Levi Russell and Nell iced the plate victory as both scored inside the final minute.
