IF determination counts for anything, 14-year-old Bathurst boxer Clayton Chatfield will be a hard individual to stop when he steps in the ring on Saturday in Moree.

The Snakebite Boxing talent will face Connor Williams – the same opponent who got the better of him in a points decision earlier this month at Gunnedah.
From the moment he went down in that gruelling three-round fight he was keen to make amends, so straight away requested that his coach Jamie Fallon organise a rematch.
“As soon as I finished the fight ... when I was in the sheds I asked Jamie if I could have a rematch with him. He said that would be okay,” Chatfield said.
“So I’ve trained and trained and I’m looking forward to the rematch with him.”

Prior to his loss in Gunnedah, Chatfield had shown good touch in the ring with his accomplishments including representing New South Wales at last year’s Interstate Cup against Tasmania.
He made a good start against Williams with some strong body shots, but the Moree fighter held the edge in terms of reach.
Chatfield was happy with his performance, but admits Williams did surprise him. However, he is determined to use what he learned from the defeat to his advantage on Saturday.
“He got me pretty good, in the second round I was on the ropes and he threw this right hook - it surprised me, it was actually a pretty good hook,” he said.
“I just can't wait because I just want to rematch him. I thought I went good, but I didn't throw enough body punches.
“I've just got to keep focusing on the body and his weak spot is his six-pack area. I've just got to get up and over.”

Chatfield has trained hard in the build up to the rematch, both doing his own fitness work and in the gym. He is hoping that his efforts will be rewarded.
“I’ve trained a lot, I trained with my Dad a few days a week and he was impressed with me with my sparring and my coach Jamie, he's been putting in a lot of time and effort for me as preparation for this fight,” Chatfield said.
“I train Mondays and Wednesdays on my fitness for an hour an a half then I come to boxing sparring and I run two kays every day.
“Hopefully I can get him, my Mum and Dad reckon that I can come out and get him and Jamie.
“I really want to thank my Mum and Dad for training me and travelling with me, Jamie my coach and my little brother, Jai, he's 11-years-old and he's helped to get me where I am too.”
Fallon is full of praise for the young boxer, who will also be in action at the December 15 Bathurst Fight Night.
“I am really proud of him for taking on the rematch, he's got a really good attitude,” he said.
