The former Bathurst Gold Tiara Consolation champion had been a consistent performer in across Victoria and South Australia last preparation but The Lagoon’s Settree is confident she can keep the good times coming in New South Wales.
Passions Delight returns to the racing fray for the first time since her start in April’s Group 1 $150,000 Victoria Oaks.
While she was well outclassed in the high quality finale she will be expected to feature prominently in her return to Bathurst Paceway.
If the Bettors Delight x Passions Promise mare can repeat the effort she showed in her comfortable 1:56.8 mile rate trial win then she will be hard to stop.

“She’s a lovely little filly and her record speaks for itself. She’s been in a lot of really nice races as a juvenile,” Settree said.
“We bought her with the view of trying to win a few races with her and have a really nice broodmare in the future.
“We bred her mother and sold her mother as a yearling, so we’ve had a connection with the previous owner in that regard.
“When the mare came on the market Matty Rue knew the connection there so he told me she was available and, as they say, the rest is history.”
Passions Delight is just one of two Passions Promise foals to make it to the race track thus far.
She’s approaching the $90,000 mark in earnings and her biggest contribution to that total came in the South Australian Oaks last preparation.
Other races on Passions Delight’s impressive resume include the Breeders Crown and the APG 2YO Fillies Finals.
The mare may look to make her move late this Wednesday considering a tricky start out of gate seven.
One contender to watch in the Country Series Heat will be Ashlee Grives’ Life Lavros – a rig who is also by Bettors Delight – who is aiming for his second win in a row.
Two $10,000 Country Series Heats start Wednesday night’s meeting from 6.12pm.
