A man who now calls the SCG home turf, NSW Blues bastman Nick Larkin, is a fan of the Regional Bash.
“It’s hugely important. I think it’s a fantastic opportunity for players in the country to show off what they’ve got,” he said.
“There’s some fantastic talent out there in the country as our system would attest to.
“It’s a steady supply of players from the country who are looking to try their hand down in Sydney and it’s great to see, exciting to see the talent that comes in every year.”
Bathurst will host one of the Thunder Conference pool rounds this weekend at the Sportsground with the Central West Wranglers, Orana Outlaws and Illawarra Flames to do battle.
