Children are set to fill all volunteer rolls, with Joshua Jackson to be the run director, Miller Rivett to hand out the finish tokens, Jake Arnold to be the time keeper and Cooper Starkey to scan barcodes.
All other volunteer roles, including marshalling, will be taken by other children.
Jennifer Arnold, who is co-director of the event alongside Stephen Jackson, said Saturday will be chance for parkrun to give back to the many participating juniors.
“On Saturday gone, we had 280 participants. About a quarter of that are juniors, under 18s,” she said.
“People in the event organisation team have kids of their own and they all run. They see us as role models. The kids have volunteered before and they’ve all expressed their interest in the past to set up takeover parkrun.
“The big message we want to get out there is to promote a healthy lifestyle.”

Bathurst parkrun is held every Saturday morning, starting at 8am from Bicentennial Park.
Participants start running south along the Macquarie River and then cross the Denison Bridge, head north and then cross the Gordon Edgell Bridge.
After crossing the bridge, participants then head back to the start line at Bicentennial Park, before turning around and following the course the other way round.
After finishing a second lap, participants finish at where parkrun starts.
The event is completely free but competing runners are required to register, that’s if they want their time recorded.
International Children’s Day is celebrated on Wednesday, October 24.
